Just as Adam did when he took a bite of that forbidden apple, sometimes we gamble in life and don’t even know it.  One can easily make the argument that gambling has been with us since the very dawn of time.  The only difference is that way back when there was no Las Vegas, no internet, and no best friend there to laugh at you when you place a wager on an outcome. 

We gamble our entire lives: from standing at the edge of the stairs, going out after dark, trying out a new recipe, or asking someone out for the first time.  From playing games such as marbles or jacks, to making tough battle decisions in wartime. Not all forms of gambling require the presence of a definite down side, (Ok, so asking the girl out on a date was a bad example then), but all have some outcome, some result, which clearly made it a gamble to begin with.  Playing the stock market, buying a lotto ticket or going to the casino are more definitive and obvious forms of gambling, but if you think about it for a second, you gamble several times a day, every single day.
