It comes as no surprise to the people who know them best, that this inseparable pair of friends, Scott McBride and Ray Duplin, Jr. actually pulled off the Playing 21 Program. Scott and Jr., along with business partner Edward McBride, are classic dreamers, if such a thing truly ever existed. They are “ideas people” who never gave up hope, and work extremely hard to see their dreams become reality. If never quitting was what separated the winners from the losers in life, this tandem has yet to suffer a defeat. Unblemished in their will to succeed, the two have struggled to prove their critics wrong, wavering at times yes, but standing taller after each fall.

The Playing 21 Program was one of those classic dreams for Scott and Jr. One tiny raindrop, grasped from the maelstrom of their ideas, and held tightly to their hearts. “Sometimes you don’t even know where you are heading, but it doesn’t stop you from going,” says Scott about the 21-year dream. Ironically, it was not knowing where this dream would take them which seemed to be the inspiration for the 3 years of the project. “We knew we didn’t know,” Jr tells of the project, “But it was going to be a hell of a lot of fun finding out.”

The pair put together a great team and spent 20,000 man-hours completing the project and cracking the “DNA” of the game Blackjack. No other program in the history of the game compared to their simple to understand and yet incomprehensible findings. Finally, the truth about Blackjack! It is now a given that there should never be another book ever written on Blackjack, unless it is based on the findings of the Playing 21 Program.

The Playing 21 Program has proven that so many things about Blackjack are grossly wrong and misleading, that you are going to laugh! Well, maybe cry a little at first. The pair have been called “ridiculously bold" for battling the world’s 4,000 plus casinos. Indeed the two are unlikely opponents for the casinos, having grown up in small towns where gambling venues didn’t exist. “There are more casinos in the world than people living in my home town,” Scott shares. Where this story goes from here will be fascinating, “When you piss off over 3,000 Millionaires, things can get kind of nasty,” says Jr. about some of the things already happening in their lives.

The pair says this fight has only just begun. “People want the casinos money,” Jr. goes on, “But the casinos NEED the player’s money.” The goal is to share with everyone, making them aware what has happened, and making millions of players better. If we do that, we win. The casinos certainly weren’t overly concerned with how much money the “beatable” game of Blackjack was making them, and we don’t believe they ever made a program to find the math, yet many handed out millions of charts that created a very wrong way to play the game Blackjack. You should share this story with everyone, and don’t feel bad for the casinos. The only feeling the casinos likely have right now is simple…they’re pissed off at us. Tough shit! You win some, you lose some!

The Playing 21 Program clearly answers any question one could ask about the game Blackjack. It did prove that anyone could physically beat the game. “It is hard to believe a 400-year old game could be brought to its knees so quickly,” says Scott with a huge smile, “The game as we know it has changed forever. It cannot exist as it is offered now, well, if the casinos want to make money anyhow.”

The Future Plans

Although they have ideas for a new and unique sporting league, in the weirdest twist of all, Scott and Jr. have future plans for building a casino themselves! “This casino will be unlike any in the world,” says Scott. “This is one for the players. In fact, it is so “for the players” that it would be the only casino they ever choose to play at. It would make casinos, as they are run and built now, obsolete.” The pair are looking for the partners to make this project real, as they continue to run down their checklist of dreams.
