Splitting Pairs
“Wager Frequency Is The Key To Splitting”

The Splitting Fool

Sometimes it’s down right funny to listen to some people talk about Blackjack.  The humor in the end turns to sadness, frustration, anger and questions of fallaciousness; how, after so many years, could Wager Frequency never have been made public?

The game Blackjack allows players to split hands of equal valued cards.  This means a player may split any set of pairs, or two face cards because all faces have the same 10-value.  Depending on the casino’s rules, players may split up to three times, creating a total of four individual hands.  An exception to this rule usually involves the Aces, which most casinos only allow to be split once.

If a player splits a hand, he must place a wager that is equal to their initial wager for each split.  Most times players are allowed to Double Down after splitting.  If you are not allowed to Double Down after a split, do your best to not play in that casino if at all possible.  Casinos that do not cater to the players should be avoided at all costs.

Any casino that allows you to do any of the following are casinos we recommend above those who do not allow these rules:

  • Re-split Aces equal to that of a normal hand

  • Draw freely after Splitting Aces

  • Double Down After Splitting Aces, and Double Down for Less

There are many casinos.  You are better off frequenting the ones that offer the best game to the players.  We hope casinos that do not offer the best games, soon get completely ignored.  Ideally, this is the best way to get the casinos to value the Voice of the player.  Be strong.

McB Duplin is disappointed in many casinos for handing out misleading information about the game Blackjack to their players.  The Playing 21 Program, the best Blackjack program ever made, has proven that the “Basic Play Charts” handed out by the tens of millions over the years by many casinos in the industry have contained inaccurate and misleading information on how a player should make decisions to help them lose less at the game Blackjack.  Some of the decisions on those charts are so completely wrong, that the player is simply handing over their money to the casino, making “Gross” mathematically incorrect plays.

We realize, of course, that you would have no logical reason to believe charts given to you by the casino are not mathematically correct in every way.  Why wouldn’t you?  After all, the casino is in an industry which revolves around mathematics.  The casino is apparently giving you information to help you play, yet it is actually helping them to line their own pockets.  It is quite an interesting concept actually.  It didn't take the best Blackjack program ever made to figure this out, when we are looking at charts from different casinos as we type this, containing different information.  One wrong decision is inexcusable from the casinos!

One thing no one mentioned to you before, about splitting, is something we invented and call “Wager Frequency”.  Wager Frequency is very easy to understand and is the deciding factor on whether to Split and Double Down on many hands.  It can be seen best in the Hand Breakdown vs. Dealers Up Card example we have laid out for you.  The Hand Breakdown vs. Dealer Up Card tracks every single time you get a certain hand, what you do with this hand, the outcome, and stores all this information for you to access. Now you can compare and logically decide how to play every hand in the game.  It is to a Blackjack player what DNA is to a criminologist

You can set up the Playing 21 Program to compare results for any situation.  Lets say we set up Player #1 to Split 8-8 vs. the Dealers Face Up, while Player #2 Hits, Player #3 Stands, Player #4 Surrenders, Player #5 Doubles Down and so forth.

Now we run a million hands.  Each time one of these players gets this starting hand, the rule he chose will be used to play the hand.  For instance, player number one Splits the 8-8 vs. the Face.  As in the casino, this creates two hands.  The dealer would give a card to the first hand, lets say a 3 for a Hard 11.  Now the computer program would go to what is called the First Hit Rules for Player #1, Hard 11 vs. Dealer’s Face card up.  This player may have entered Double Down, so this is what the computer would do (the Playing 21 Program of course has House Rules, and the player would have had to allow Doubling After Splitting in this example).  Anyway, whatever happens with these split hands is stored in Player #1, Pair 8-8 vs. Dealer’s Face.

So now we can look at how we did with each decision and choose for ourselves which one is the best way to play a Pair of 8’s vs. a Face Card.  As you can see, in the Hand Breakdown vs. Dealer Up Card, we keep track of 21 different counts, if you are card counting, and 45 separate categories.

Wow, Wager Frequency

Like we said, we don’t want you do take our word for it. Be your own person.  If you run this example through the program, you can see everything about all plays, splits and double downs.  Many plays are not the best play after, especially after card counting and Hand Variation.

There are many ways to explain Wager Frequency, and throughout the site we have chosen several different examples, hoping one really clicks.  Take a look at the menu below:

Sandwich Toppings (McB Duplin Deli)

Ham $0.50
Bacon $0.68
Baloney $0.75
Cheese $0.38**
**Per Half Sandwich

All Sandwiches Are Sold as FULL Sandwiches

So those are the prices for our toppings on your Sandwich.  We ONLY sell full sandwiches but we cut the Sandwich in two slices, and the toppings are all for the full sandwich, except the Cheese.  If you want Cheese we charge $0.38 per half, or $0.76 per full sandwich.  This actually makes the Cheese the most expensive topping.

The casino buys 100 sandwiches every day.  That is all, no more, no less.

Lets take a look at this another way now.

Choices for Playing a certain hand:

Surrender $0.50
Hit $0.68
Stand $0.75
Split or Double Down $0.38**
**Extra Wager in Play

You ONLY receive this hand 100 times

You get this hand 100 times, no more, no less.

That is Wager Frequency.  When you split or double down sometimes you do better on each hand so to speak, losing less, but you have two hands now, on which collectively you lose more than using any other decision you could have made.

Again, there are many hands like this, splitting and Doubling Down.  Don’t take our word for it, we are selling the best Blackjack program ever made.  You decide if we are right.  It is simple, but we spent 10,000 hours figuring it out, while the Blackjack program shows it to you in a real hurry. Finally. The truth has arrived.

Pissed Off Yet?

You should be very upset.  You have been misled, costing you money if you ever, like we did, followed these charts many casinos gave to you for free (or worst, charged you for them!).  And there are millions more like us.  It isn’t right, but thank God it is over.  It is time for accountability.  You could do your part, by voicing your opinions to whomever will listen.  Please make everyone you meet aware of us.  Start with your friends who you play cards with, and everyone you meet in the casino.  Write a letter to the editor of your local paper…anything you do will help.  Just be heard, you have that right.  Stand up for what you know is right.

We’ve been taken advantage of, and they even made us pay for it!
