Even Money
“No Guts, Less Profit”

If You’re Unsure:  Stay Home!
(Sorry, that was harsh. Just buy the Playing 21 Program

This is about as sure a bet as you’ll ever make in life. If something is good for someone they won’t be too quick to stop doing it.  There may be a time when it makes sense to take Even Money, but many factors play a part of that decision.  Simple testing of the Playing 21 Program will surely be required but will show you exactly, for you method of play, counting method, house rules and number of decks used.

Even Money is an option the player can elect to use when he receives a two-card Blackjack and the dealer starts with an Ace as their Up Card.  It is the same thing as taking Insurance when the player has a Blackjack, so casinos just call it Even Money.  If the player decides he wants even money, the dealer will immediately pay the player an equal amount of his initial wager, and the hand is over.  If the player decides not to take even money, the dealer will look at his hand and see if he has a Blackjack or not.  If the dealer has a Blackjack, the player pushes on this hand, neither winning nor losing.  If the dealer does not have the Blackjack, then the player gets paid the Blackjack bonus, 1½ times or 3:2 on his wager.

The Playing 21 Program allows you to set up the rules you wish to use for deciding how to play each hand, exactly like in the casino.  If you would like to see how Even Money effects your bottom line in the long haul, just set up player one to always take it, and set up player two to never take it.  Run a million hands and compare the Hand Breakdown vs. Dealer Up Card for when you had a Blackjack vs. the Dealer’s Ace.  You will quickly see how to play this hand.  No more taking people’s word for it, and no more mimicking what you hear and see other players doing.  Remember, you don’t play for the casino, you play for yourself, so learn to play properly.  There’s also one more thing. Play confident.

The Playing 21 Program lets you use any Number of Decks, and Card Counting options to suit any player’s methods, in over 25 billion ways.  If you are a card counter, there may actually be certain situations, especially in the smaller deck games, when Even Money makes sense.  Just run the hell out of the program and see if how you like to count changes this strategy.  Also, become a 21’s Voice member, and we will send you the best and latest ways we have found to play Blackjack. As we learn from the Playing 21 Program and from other members like you, we update our strategies in our monthly newsletter. It’s that simple. Stay on top of the game! Everyone deserves a Voice.
