Caught In The System 

Almost every player who has ever had any long-term success at Blackjack played with many of the key components involved in a successful Betting System.  Anyone can purchase a lottery ticket and win first prize…All you need is luck.  If you take a look at what makes good Blackjack players winners, you will notice that the last thing is luck.  Make no mistake… More so than most any other casino game, Blackjack is a game of skill. 

Successful players know many things. They understand that the game revolves around mathematical decisions, and each and every hand has only one mathematically correct way to play. Good players maximize their chances of success by simply winning more hands than other players. They know the basic way to play each hand.  After learning how to properly play the game, winners will use other winning techniques, such as discipline and Money Management to succeed. 

A betting system is a form of Money Management. It is the way a player wagers to help maximize their profit from the game. Undisciplined players who have little grasp on the concepts of the game bet wildly. Without some kind of reasonable money management and betting system, they find themselves riding an angry 1600 pound bull.  For a few fleeting seconds they might experience the ride of their lives, but they will more than likely be crashing hard in the end.  Sadly, even when they hang on for the full 8 seconds, their ineptness still leads to their demise, for these players don’t know how to get off the bull, and make it stop.  Sooner or later, they come crashing down.

Do Systems Really Work? 

You cannot argue that systems “Don’t Work”, because anything that helps a player lose less is a successful system. The key is to find what systems help you lose the least.

Card Counters are firm believers in systems.  They believe there are deck compositions where they win more than others, and knowing this, alter their bets to try and take advantage of it, helping to maximize their wagers won over the long haul.  McB Duplin has always believed in this theory, and is why we have made the Playing 21 Program, so you can prove these kinds of things to yourself.  It’s all nice and clear.  You don’t have to read 400 pages, or memorize things, or sort through misleading information and confuse yourself more than when you started.

There are systems that actually do work. We have seen them.  These systems, however, must have many common traits for a player to succeed at them.  For instance, they can never involve bets that rise too quickly, and they can never involve a short-term amount of hands, say under 1,000.  If you can find systems that require the player to win a realistic percentage of hands to recuperate their losses in the long run, even bad streaks will become close to normal statically.  What we are saying here is you may lose badly over 100’s of hands, but with more hands, comes more accurate mathematical results, bringing you closer to realistic and true end result percentages. You may win 7 of the next 10 hands, but you will not win 700 in the next 1,000.   

We talk about some of the famous Betting Systems here on our site: for example the Martingale, the Matrix, and the D’Alembert systems.  We will share in 21’s Voice, what thousands of players say and share with us, and we will forward the best of these in monthly news letters, so we can help to create the best players in the world.  No matter how you bet, it is imperative that you know how to win with the absolute highest percentage possible.  If you lose just one hand, it is gone forever.  You can never get it back.  Sure you can win the next hand, but now you are only 1-1, instead of 2-0.  Even if you wagered more and got your money back on the second hand, you only got your money back from that second hand, and not the win or the money you had in the first lose.  Wagers are more important than wins, yes this is true, but common sense says that, the more wins you accumulate, the more wagers you will also win.

If you make one $25 bet and lose it, you are out $25.
